![]() ![]() My time at work experience taught me how to motivate people and encourage students when they may be finding something difficult. During my work experience I shadowed peripatetic teachers to different schools, this gave me a valuable insight into the career I wish to pursue. My career aspiration is to go into music teaching. I have also enjoyed analysing and harmonising Bach chorales. My main interests in music lie in performance and music analysis, with particularly interest in the music of Mozart and Wagner. My enthusiasm for music has developed from wanting to listen to music, to wanting to learn how music works, although this interest has been developed throughout my school life I feel there is still so much to learn and that is why I wish to further study music at university. I had started flute and recorder lessons several years earlier and I later started piano lessons. I was amazed at how diverse music could be and the range of emotions music could convey. Good place to work.My inspiration to study music first came from when my music teacher played passages from different periods of music. On other days you can be forced to clean ovens, make lunches. A typical day here at this place varies between being told to clean a toilet to answering phones and doing client intakes. While the people that run the facility are not terrible- they are immature and run a poor business and put on a fake show when superiors come around to see how they are doing. They will hold long Pow Wows to discuss ONE thing you may or may not have done to upset them, or go over rules, sometimes for hours- and then do not demostrate them, themselves. You often witness the wife and husband bicker and argue innapropiatly at work, and they hide downstairs and let their office manager treat clients and volunteers disrepsectfully and do not see what it happening in the facility. When you complain, or try to explain how the behavior effects your wanting to be in the facility- you are then treated hostile and ignored until they have decided they are no longer angry with you. You never know when the Boss will be in a good or bad mood, and he often ignores you, or replies to you in a sarcastic manor. She often is rude and disrespectful to clients and volunteers. The office manager is rude, catty and gossipy. Often the management is moody, rude and often just plain terrible to spend the day with. Although it is a religious atmosphere, they treat voluneteers horribly and the clients unless they literally break down. Volunteers are treated with little to no respect and the management is very unprofessinal. ![]()
